Ever dreamed of playing in the final round of the PGA TOUR’s Waste Management Phoenix Open? Here’s your opportunity to play the course the pros played, the day after they played it. A limited number of playing spots are still available in the 2010 Post-Open Pro-Am presented by MR Investment Partners, to be held at 9 a.m. at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course on Monday, March 1st, the day after the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. All proceeds from the Post-Open Pro-Am benefit Desert Voices Oral Learning Center and The First Tee of Phoenix.
The Post-Open Pro-Am pairs three amateur golfers with one professional golfer, a number of which will have just played in the Waste Management Phoenix Open. PGA TOUR professionals scheduled to appear include, Rickie Barnes, Ted Purdy, Billy Mayfair, Hal Irwin and Stan Utley. Individual playing spots in the Post-Open Pro-Am are $1,500 each and include a continental breakfast, golf on the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course (complete with Sunday pin-placements and forecaddie service), a post tournament luncheon catered by Michael’s Catering and an awards ceremony. The field is limited to 84 players.
The Thunderbirds, hosts of the Phoenix Open since 1939, donated the golf course free of charge in an effort to help Desert Voices Oral Learning Center and The First Tee of Phoenix raise funds for their programs.
“The Post-Open Pro-Am is not only a unique opportunity for golfers to play the same course the pros played during the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, it’s also a fantastic charitable fundraiser for Desert Voices and The First Tee of Phoenix,” said 2010 Waste Management Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman David Rauch. “The Thunderbirds are happy to donate the golf course to this great event.”
